The American University of Bahrain (AUBH) hosted the second edition of the AUBH International Day. The community-wide event celebrated “One World, Diverse Nations” and highlighted two of the University’s values: diversity and inclusivity. With nearly 2,000 visitors, 18 participating countries, 22 international food and beverage outlets, and a lineup of live performances, AUBH International Day captured the attention of spectators from all around the Kingdom.
The one-day event included an opening ceremony with speeches from Dr Bradley J. Cook, AUBH President and His Excellency Steven C. Bondy, U.S. Ambassador to Bahrain. The International Day serves as an engaging educational platform with diverse cultures being reflected through gastronomy, music, language, and art.
The event included several activities and entertainment such as a traditional costume parade, ongoing performances; traditional games; a photo booth; and themed activities for young children. Guests included ambassadors; C-suite executives; leadership from local schools and universities, industry leaders; several public figures; and families.
