The Filipino community in Bahrain came together yesterday for the opening ceremony of Kalayaan Bayanihan sa Bahrain 2026, held at Oasis Mall Juffair, ahead of Philippine Independence Day today.

The three-day event marks the 128th anniversary of the Proclamation of Philippine Independence under this year’s theme, “Kalayaan. Kinabukasan. Kasaysayan.” (Freedom. Future. History.)

The event was led by Ambassador Gines Jaime Ricardo D. Gallaga of the Philippines Embassy in Manama.
