The Ritz-Carlton has appointed William Fily as their new Food and Beverage Director and Joergen Sodemann as their Executive Chef for their operations in Bahrain!
As F&B Director, William Fily will oversee all aspects of the hotel’s food and beverage operations. This includes maintaining the standards of service and collaborating with the culinary team to provide an unforgettable dining experience for their guests.
A food and beverage professional, William has led and managed various establishments including Michelin-starred restaurants over the course of his career. He is set to bring a wealth of experience and innovation to the team from various hotels and international resorts including the St. Regis Bora-Bora, Hawaii, and Hong Kong, Nihi Sumba in Indonesia, Carlisle Bay Resort in Antigua, Le Bristol Palace in Paris and most recently, the Rosewood Le Guanahani in St. Barth.
As Executive Chef, Joergen Sodemann is set to bring with him a wealth of knowledge and creativity owing to his 30 years of experience in the culinary world. His career includes working for The Ritz-Carlton brand in a variety of locations around the world including Berlin, Oman, and Amman.
He has been an integral part of many of the hotel’s opening teams in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Cairo, Jeddah, Ras Al Khaima, Al Wadi Desert, Al Hamra Beach and most recently, in Amman, Jordan. He was also part of the opening team of EDITION Abu Dhabi where he worked with 2 Michelin-starred chef Tom Aikens.
