The craft of weaving has been passed on in Bahrain from generation to generation for over 3,000 years. The small village of Bani Jamra is known for its textile heritage and traditional fabric weaving. With aims to keep traditional practices alive, the Bani Jamra Textile Factory or Naseej Factory has been built in the heart of the village, resembling the old-fashioned ‘barasti’ themed roofed structure made for spinning and weaving.
