These Young Singers from Bahrain Won Big at The Golden Voice International Contest in Malta

They sang their way to victory on a global stage! For Amyra Anand, Serena Khan, Sophia Alansari, Yeva Pukhava, and Nicole Estanom, the experience at The Golden Voice Malta International Contest has been surreal. All five young singing sensations from Bahrain won big out of 200 participants representing 29 countries.

Accompanying the 5 girls was their singing teacher, Natalia Estanom who runs BelCanto Vocal Studio in Bahrain.

11-year-old Serena Khan, a student of St. Christopher’s School Bahrain bagged second place in her age category for performing two songs – The Climb by Miley Cyrus (in the POP music category) and Good Morning Baltimore from Hairspray (in the Musical category). Serena has been training at BelCanto since the age of 3.

She writes, “Thank you to all my friends and teachers who encouraged me as I got accepted to Malta, especially Ms Natalia from BelCanto Music and Mr Goodwin, my class teacher and production head at St Chris.”

“She lights up when she is on stage, and did a fantastic job. We are very humbled that the judges selected Serena for second place overall in her age category, given the high level of talent from so many countries,” says Serena’s father, Ali Khan.

Amyra Anand received First Place for Musical in her age category (11), having also performed two songs. The entire team from Bahrain had something to celebrate as each of the young nightingales won hearts in Malta.

Golden Voice Malta had judges from France, Estonia, Malta, Switzerland, and Poland, to name a few.

Amyra Anand won First Place for Musical in the 11 years of age Category.

Serena Khan bagged Second Place Overall (POP and Musical) in the 11 years of age Category.

Sophia Alansari won First Place in the 6-8 age category for Musical and Second place for POP.

Yeva Pukhava won First Place Overall in the 9-10 years old and the First Place in the POP category.

Nicole Estanom bagged First Place in the 14 years age category and Second place in the POP category.
