Stay Safe! Bahrain records 1,968 new cases and 13 deaths yesterday

Out of 19,664 COVID-19 tests carried out on 18 May 2021, 1968 new cases have been detected among 634 expatriate workers, 1323 new cases are contacts of active cases, and 11 travel related.

There were 1,342 recoveries, increasing total recoveries to 186,961.

Six Bahraini men, 66, 86, 44, 70, 75 and 69; five Bahraini women, 70, 65, 51, 47 and 64; and two expat men, 55 and 62, died yesterday, taking the death toll to 765. No information was provided if they suffered any preexisting medical conditions.

There are currently 187 cases in a critical condition, and 303 cases receiving treatment. 16,611 are stable out of a total of 16,798 active cases.
