HH Sheikh Khaled Leads the Royal Team to Victory at the Spanish International Endurance Championship!

Bahrain’s Royal Endurance Team has claimed victory in the 120-kilometre race for both the general and junior categories, as part of the prestigious Spanish International Championship.

HH Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, General Sports Authority Chairman, and Bahrain Olympic Committee President, extended his warm congratulations to the team on their exceptional performance. He emphasised that this latest victory builds on the Royal Team’s previous achievements in international and European forums, and reflects the high level of excellence attained by the sport of endurance.

HH Sheikh Khalid also praised the role played by HH Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and the Royal Endurance Team captain, in the team’s success. The Royal Team riders, Salman Isa, Manal Fakhrawi, and Ahmed Al Dhawadi, who won the top three spots, along with junior category champion Abdulla Al Ruwaei, were also congratulated by HH Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad.

Despite failing to pass the veterinary examination after the first stage of the 160-kilometer contest, HH Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad supported and motivated the other team riders to achieve positive results in both races.

The Royal Team champions were honoured at the end of the championship, and they praised the support of HH Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa and HH Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad’s directives that enabled them to achieve an honourable performance.
