Creating Memorable Experiences: An Interview with Hospitality Leader, Sammy Gani

Bahrain Confidential speaks with the Complex General Manager of The Westin & Le Meridien City Centre Bahrain

What does it take to be a Hospitality Leader? In an industry that never slows down, it takes utmost dedication and a mindset for excellence to deliver quality guest experiences day in and out. Each year, Bahrain Confidential highlights leaders across the hospitality industry on the island to understand what’s new, what’s next, and what makes them the best.

Do you have any major plans for the property?

To continue to build on the success of becoming a leisure and shopping destination lends us an edge over our competitors, especially in an unpredictable market.

Since we met last year, have there been any significant changes for you or the property?

2023 refocused on all areas starting with the revamped Heavenly Spa in terms of our treatments and package offerings to provide truly unique guest experiences. We’ve rebranded Baharat to a Turkish Restaurant that offers grills and Turkish favourites with the current trending offer “Doner lunch”. We’ve also brought back our award-winning The Sweetest Brunch in Baharat Restaurant, where guests can enjoy over a hundred different types of sweets and desserts since September.

Is there one unique quality that makes your hotel stand out in Bahrain?

It’s all about our people who create memorable experiences for our guests every single day. I am very proud to be part of such an amazing team.

Is there a particular saying or motto that guides you?

100% responsibility, zero excuses.
