Out of 17,835 Covid-19 tests carried out on 2 April 2021, 1,074 new cases have been detected among 274 expatriate workers, 760 new cases are contacts of active cases, and 40 are travel related. There were 763 recoveries, increasing total recoveries to 136,827.
There are currently 66 Covid-19 cases in a critical condition, and 174 cases receiving treatment. 9,034 are stable out of a total of 9,100 active cases.
The ministry also announced four Covid-19 related deaths, raising the total deaths to 527.
