As part of their effort to give back to the community, the Westin & Le Meridien City Centre Bahrain together with Marriott Business Council Bahrain recently visited the UCO Parents Care Centre located in Hidd to spread joy to the elderly.
The management and staff volunteered their time to visit the care centre on Sunday, 21 August; while housekeeping associates assisted in cleaning, freshening up the centre and distributing fresh towels, chefs led a cooking class to demonstrate how to prepare different dishes ranging from couscous and hummus to different types of salads, which were served for lunch after.
To amuse the elderly, the team also held a bingo game where fun prizes were given to the winners. They commenced the occasion with Heavenly Spa by Westin’s massage therapists offering hand massages to the elderly to help them relax after all the activities.
UCO Care Center was founded in 1995 and is located in Hidd. The Home was built to provide care and housing for the elderly who have no supporters or whose families are not able to take care of them. The offered service involves daycare, intermittent residence interchanged between the Home and family, or permanent residence at the Home according to its capacity.
