No more pre-travel PCR test for GCC passengers to Dubai!

Passengers arriving in Dubai from GCC countries are no longer mandated to take a Covid-19 PCR test prior to departure.

Travellers coming from Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman, can take the complimentary Covid-19 test on arrival at the Dubai International Airport.

This exemption, however, does not extend to passengers arriving by road through the Hatta border, who must take the PCR test 96 hours prior to departure.

All passengers still hold the option of taking the test 96 hours before departure in their country of origin, Dubai carrier Emirates confirmed on its website.

Passengers travelling to Dubai from six countries – namely the GCC states, Germany and the UK – are now exempt from a mandatory pre-flight Covid-19 PCR test.
