Leaders in Bahrain Hospitality: Swiss-belHotel Seef GM Alban Dutemple

Tell us something personal, what are your greatest strengths and weaknesses?

I am team player oriented and love to develop my collaborators, I am very organized, and I like and try to anticipate. I am not patient and I could be more flexible.

In a fiercely competitive market, how do you plan on remaining at the forefront of the hospitality game?

Value for price paid. This is very much a basic school learning lesson, but very true in our market and for today and the upcoming months.   The pricing must be adapted to the market and the quality to the expectation. The product/offer we create must fit into this philosophy.

What has been the biggest challenges and successes of the past year?

It was not really a big challenge but a big change… The repositioning of the hotel in its segmentation and market, this is in term of rates & product offering, internal restructuring, hotel space optimization, hotel collaborator flexibility and adaptability.  At the same time it has been the success of the past 8 months.

What are your future plans for the hotel?

Maintaining through investment the quality of our property, maintaining the level of motivation, passion and result oriented mind of all our collaborators, anticipating the market trends, increase the results for SBI International and owner,

Which part of Bahrain is your favorite and why?

Bahrain fort, I like it very much the walk along the sea and the fort, I walk every week with my wife and dog, we always meet someone to talk too.
