The long weekend is almost here, and you may be planning for short trips in and around the city. While we recommend you maintain social distance and practise good hygiene while out and about, take note of these lane closures during the upcoming weekend, to plan your route maps in advance.
Ministry of Works said that the improvement works on King Hamad Highway necessitate the closure of the right lane for the northbound traffic near its junction with Highway 96, and one lane will be provided for traffic movement.
The closure will be effective from Tuesday at 10 pm to Sunday at 5 am.
Ministry of Works said that the improvement works on Sh. Hamoud Bin Sabah Avenue necessitates the closure of one lane for northbound traffic leading to Riffa Avenue between Hunainiyah Avenue and Road 145, and the traffic movement will be diverted to Road 129 which is parallel to Sh. Hamoud Bin Sabah Avenue.
The closure will be effective from Thursday for a period of one month.
