It was simply an offer we couldn’t refuse, to check out the fine dining spot at The Diplomat Radisson Blu Hotel, Residence and Spa. The Italian restaurant enchanted us with its ambient lighting, wooden accents, and the sweet sound of jazz music filling the air, all contributing to the unmistakable charm of the restaurant.

Every Monday from 5:00 – 10:30 pm, Mondo offers steak night with house wine or beer along with a variety of cuts and sides to choose from, you’re sure to find a dish that satisfies your cravings.
During our visit, we indulged in their signature Ossobuco, a slow-braised veal shank cooked to perfection with risotto which was flavourful yet light with hints of saffron and butter.
We also tried the Filet Mignon, which was served well done with creamy wild mushroom gratin and Parmigiano on top of two slices of potato. The succulent steak paired beautifully with the rich flavours of the mushroom sauce, and the Parmigiano added a layer of saltiness that complemented the dish perfectly.
From the welcoming staff to the exquisite flavours and romantic ambience, Mondo is an experience that is not to be missed.
