StartUp Bahrain is a community-driven initiative for startups and is led by founders, investors, accelerators, corporates, and government entities on the island.

Different programmes and support offered by Tamkeen help foster entrepreneurship and enable startups to thrive in the Kingdom. Bahrain’s location, infrastructure, and access to regional markets make it an attractive destination for startups. The Kingdom serves as a gateway to the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) market, providing startups with a large customer base and expansion opportunities.

The startup ecosystem in Bahrain is diverse, with companies emerging across a range of industries, including fintech, e-commerce, health tech, and clean energy. While the Kingdom simultaneously focuses on these sectors, plenty of incubators and accelerators, fostering innovation and providing startups with the necessary resources and mentorship to succeed have been established on the island.
