Bahrain’s nurseries are re-opening on Sunday amid strict safety measures!

Labour and Social Development Minister, Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan, has issued a circular stipulating the re-opening of the Labour Ministry-licensed nurseries on October 25, amid strict precautionary measures to limit the spread of novel coronavirus (COVID-19).

Parents who chose in-person learning for their children should bring them to their nurseries as of Sunday, taking into account the precautionary measures in force.

In a statement, the minister stressed the importance of the adherence of nurseries’ owners, staff and parents to the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health to protect public health, especially that of children during their presence at nurseries.

The circular highlighted the precautionary measures to be followed, including mainly the daily sanitisation of nurseries and the mandatory wearing of face masks for the staff, but not for children.

Parents are requested to prepare their children’s food and drinks at home, as buffets and celebrations and birthday parties will not be allowed at nurseries.
