Bahrain records 1,063 new cases from 13,982 tests

Out of 13,982 COVID-19 tests carried out yesterday, 1063 new cases have been detected among 397 expatriate workers, 634 new cases are contacts of active cases, and 32 are travel related. There were 923 recoveries, increasing total recoveries to 166,851.

Two expat men – 57 and 59, died yesterday, taking the death toll to 648. No further information was provided on whether they suffered any pre-existing conditions.


There are currently 89 COVID-19 cases in a critical condition, and 189 cases receiving treatment. 10,409 are stable out of a total of 10,498 active cases.
