Bahrain’s Royal Guard team, the conquerors of the eighth highest mountain in the world, Mt Manaslu (8163m high), are now less than three months away from their next task – the climb to the highest mountain in the world, Mt. Everest.
“Preparation in both Bahrain and Nepal is a never-ending task,” the team members tweeted.
For the past few months, the team members have been staying focused on preparing themselves for the big task with regular training. They are now working on to build their stamina, leg strength and flexibility through various exercises including rope climbing.
We have “reenergized our determination and drive to succeed,” the team wrote after one of their gruelling sessions. The Royal Guard team said that they are now working on other aspects of the climb. “We are making sure that the team is not only fit for the mission but also the logistics are in place to achieve it.”
