Bahrain detects 1,053 new Covid-19 cases from 15,567 tests

Out of 15,567 Covid-19 tests carried out on 23 April 2021, 1,053 new cases have been detected among 444 expatriates, 561 new cases are contacts and 48 are travel related.

There were 1,152 recoveries, increasing total recoveries to 158,133.

Three Covid-19 related deaths were recorded among one female citizen aged 62, one male citizen aged 79, and one male expat aged 54. No further information was provided on whether they suffered any pre-existing conditions.

There are currently 96 cases in critical condition, and 185 cases receiving treatment. 10,408 are stable out of a total of 10,504 active cases.
