Al Dana Amphitheatre is Bahrain’s live entertainment destination, offering four event spaces – the open-air amphitheatre, Quarry Lounge, Desert Garden, and Plaza. Since 2020, Al Dana has been home to some iconic concerts by local, regional, and international artists in its impressive 10,000-seat setting carved out of the Sakhir desert.
Since its opening in 2020, Al Dana Amphitheatre has witnessed a star-studded lineup of performers – beginning with the legendary Eric Clapton, to Emirati star, Ahlam Alshamsi and Saudi’s iconic Abdul Majeed Abdullah. The list goes on with big international names like Bruno Mars, Lewis Capaldi, and Tiësto performing along with stand-up acts like Michael McIntyre. The Golden Circle – most preferred by audiences is in demand at the amphitheatre, providing an up-close viewing experience of their favourite artist on stage.
While the arena is built with the community in mind and the long-term vision of supporting and promoting home-grown talent, Al Dana Amphitheatre is designed to merge the organic desert characteristics with an enthralling musical experience for its thousands of visitors. The desert concert venue was an architectural feat achieved by its designer Marwan Lockman of S/L Architects. Concerts at the Amphitheatre are positioned against the setting sun with a view of Jabal Al Dukhan (Mountain of Smoke), providing the perfect Bahraini vibe and a thrill for both performers and the audience.
