Xanthe Sutcliffe reviews Holidays by FlyDubai

FlyDubai recently hosted a media trip to Dubai, to explore the activities and services they offer.

‘Holidays by Flydubai’ enables their passengers to create affordable, exciting and tailor made holiday experiences in many different locations across the Middle East, Europe and more.

This started with a Business class flight to Dubai – the convenient and personal flying experience, constant attention to the passengers and priority ground services are major plus points.

Excursions

The Dubai Frame is a new addition to Dubai’s skyline standing at an impressive 493ft. At the top you are greeted by vertigo inducing glass floors and picture perfect views.

Dubai Parks & Resorts host three theme parks that has something for everyone. Our day began at Legoland the smaller of the parks, this is the destination for young families and kids aged 2-12 years the hot climate in the UAE was taken into consideration when designing this park, with most attractions and activities being indoors. Legoland also features a water park to cool off in the hotter months.

Moving onto the Bollywood studios where the film industry has truly been brought to life. Full of colour and live performances this is a must for any Bollywood fan.

The third park and my personal highlight of the trip: Motion Gate. Motion Gate is a cinematic journey and the perfect place for rollercoaster fanatics, this larger than life theme park takes you through the universal stories with exhilarating rides from Dreamworks, Lionsgate and Coloumbia pictures, with everyone’s favorite movie characters.

La Perle by Dragone, the regions first permanent show is a thrilling experience in its self. In a 90 minute live performance audience can witness the spectacular aerobatics and daring stunts in and above water. Created by Artistic Director Franco Dragone, known for his work in Las Vegas and Macau this high energy action keeps the audience on the edge of their seat with waterfalls and rain that fill the stadium.

Accommodation

The Rove Trade Centre Hotel was our chosen accommodation for the trip, a modern, chic offering with very clean but basic rooms; this hotel is very much targeted at the younger, more budget conscious traveler, combining a backpacker’s vibe with the sophistication of a hotel. An excellent breakfast buffet was on offer to start each day and a convenience store located next to the reception.

We were treated to a range of cuisines during the trip, from a traditional Arabic lunch at the Arabian Tea House to the Mexican restaurant ‘ZOCO’ following the La Perle Show, a place to relax and enjoy the music and atmosphere of Latin America. On our last night dinner was at OSH, a stylish double story restaurant in La Mer, the upstairs terraced seating provided beautiful views to enjoy along with the Uzbekistan cuisine.

Holidays by Flydubai puts you in control of your entire holiday experience giving you more time to look forward to your trip.
