World’s largest canvas painting in Dubai, to raise AED110 million for charity

“The Journey of Humanity” – the largest canvas painting in the world, will be around the size of two football fields at 1,980-sq-m.

Contemporary British artist Sacha Jafri lays on his record-breaking painting entitled ‘The Journey of Humanity’ in Dubai. The gigantic artwork is part of his project ‘Humanity Inspired’, and with it, he hopes to raise 30 million USD to fund health and education initiatives for children living in poverty worldwide.
The project is being supported by more than 100 influential public figures across the globe, including the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO), together with The Global Gift Foundation and the UAE Government – to connect people post the COVID-19 pandemic in order to tackle the devastating impact of the virus on children and youth.
Jafri’s finished painting will be around the size of two football fields at 2,000 sq m, in two of Atlantis’ massive ballrooms.

The massive creation is ‘the world’s largest painting to have ever been created on canvas’, and is set to break the official record for ‘The Largest Art Canvas’ in the world. The finished creation is set to be revealed at Atlantis The Palm in November, 2020, and will then be projected onto the UAE’s most iconic landmarks, and housed in the world’s leading museums.
