Wellness Month in Bahrain: Charity Runs, Rides and Padel This October

Wellness Month in Bahrain: Charity Runs, Rides and Padel This October

Wellness is a year-round focus in Bahrain, but October gives it a proper stage. The heat finally eases, early mornings become pleasant again, and outdoor sport moves back onto the weekend calendar after the long summer break. Fridays are going to be all about getting out and about and bringing wellness back into the spotlight.

It is also Breast Cancer Awareness Month, so clubs, community groups and sports organisers are lining up events that put both body and heart at the centre. Many double as fundraisers, with entry fees going straight to local causes.

This year’s line-up covers running, cycling and padel, with options for first-timers as well as regulars chasing a personal best. Some are open to everyone, others are for women only, and most start early to make the most of the cooler hours. Expect alarms set well before 7:00 am.

Fees are modest across the board, and a couple of registration deadlines fall early in the month, so it pays to plan. For anyone new to organised sport, charity events like these are an easy way in: the atmosphere is friendly, the crowds are supportive, and the focus is on taking part.

Here is what’s on.
