Ramadan is here, and Bahrain’s calendar is already full. Whether you’re looking for culture, community, or simply a great cup of coffee under the stars, there’s plenty to fill your first weekend of the holy month. While you’re looking at these, don’t forget to check out our other Ramadan Guides, where we look at the best Iftar and Ghabga experiences, communities and causes you can support, and decor collections worth checking out.
The outdoor grounds of the Bahrain National Theatre transform into one of the city’s liveliest Ramadan destinations. Live performances, interactive activities, and a spread of food options make it a go-to spot for the whole family. Come for the atmosphere, stay for the evening.

For something truly unique, head out to IlBarza Café at the Tree of Life. There’s something quietly remarkable about sipping coffee beside a 400-year-old tree growing alone in the desert. It’s open until midnight throughout the season, making it a great late-evening stop.

Running throughout the holy month, the Ramadan Bazaar at The Avenues brings together a carefully chosen selection of abayas, jalabiyas, perfumes, bakhoor, accessories, and jewellery all under one roof. It’s a good one to visit at your own pace.
If you’re after a slower pace, Roast Camp offers exactly that. Set within the Budaiya Botanical Garden, it’s a relaxed spot to settle in with good coffee and something sweet, with the greenery doing most of the work.

Running until 15 April, this exhibition at the Bahrain National Museum offers a thoughtful look at the country’s modern history through archival photographs and personal documents. It’s the kind of exhibition that rewards a quiet visit and a little time to linger.

At Al Riwaq Art Space, artist Ola Znad explores ideas of place, memory, and belonging in a solo exhibition that stays with you. If you appreciate contemporary art with real depth, this one is worth making time for.

The desert air in Sakhir is about to get a lot louder. Bahrain International Circuit opens its gates for Formula 1 pre-season testing this Thursday and Friday, marking the start of a new era of regulations. A new team joins the grid, and new and returning drivers will be putting their fresh cars through their paces. If you’ve never watched F1 up close, this is a great chance to do it.

Ramadan racing returns, and the first night is this Thursday. Watch the horses thunder around the track under floodlights, with marquee events including the HH Sh. Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa Cup and HM The King’s Cup. It’s a spectacular evening out.

Catch this one before it closes on Friday. Inaugurated by H.E. Shaikh Rashid bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, the exhibition fills The Art Centre with work from Bahrain’s creative community, a genuine celebration of local talent that’s well worth an hour of your time.

A Saturday morning well spent. The weekly market brings together 32 local farmers alongside agricultural companies, nurseries, and apiaries in the beautiful setting of the Bahrain Botanical Garden. The market has been extended to stay open during Ramadan. So enjoy these few extra bonus weeks with your squad.
