Visiting a vet? Make sure they’re following these precautionary measures!

“All private veterinary clinics, pharmacies and animal centers must maintain a high level of biosecurity,” this came in a circular issued by the Animal Resources Agency as part of efforts to limit the spread of the emerging COVID-19.

The circular noted that the institutions mentioned must adhere to the guidelines necessary in order to maintain the safety of visitors and workers.

The agency stressed that veterinary clinics, pharmacies and animal care centers must wear face masks during working hours, avoid working without wearing masks, maintain surface sterilization, maintain washing and sterilizing hands, and strictly adhere to the principles of social distancing within the institution.
