Saray Shiraz is a fast food spot in Jurdab doing a kebab sandwich stacked with grilled meat skewers and melted cheddar, wrapped in foil and best eaten with both hands. It’s a messy, straightforward sandwich, built for eating on the spot rather than plating up nicely. The grilled chicken sandwich holds its own too, for anyone who isn’t in the mood for kebab. It’s a bit of a trek for some, but that seems to be the point.
Scoop Creamery is running “After Hours” until 26 September: four weeks split across three separate experiences within one space. The lounge and chef’s table format runs Wednesday to Saturday, giving regulars a different side of a brand most people know for ice cream rather than late-night dining. It’s a temporary shift for a spot usually associated with daytime scoops and quick visits, and it wraps up for the year once September ends.
