This hospital in Bahrain obtains its four-year accreditation!

The King Hamad University Hospital has been accredited by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCHS) for four years.

KHUH Commander Major-General Dr. Shaikh Salman bin Ateyatallh Al-Khalifa said that the hospital which was first accredited in 2013, has met all the basic training requirements.

A SCHS delegation evaluated the KHUH training programmes, focusing on training centres, library and post-graduate studies and fellowship programmes.

The delegation was also updated about the medical personnel and educational environment for training physicians.

Dr. Shaikh Salman bin Ateyatallh Al-Khalifa said that the accreditation recognized the hospital’s readiness, commitment to management standards and medical training programmes.

Education and Proficiency Centre director Dr. Dalal Al-Hassan hailed the accreditation which, she said, acknowledges KHUH personnel’s efforts to develop their capabilities.

She said that the training of health professionals covers various medical specialties, including internal medicine, general surgery, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, anesthesiology, emergency medicine, pathology, diagnostic radiology, orthopedics, ENT surgery and Urology.
