This art exhibit in Bahrain will celebrate Philippines’ Independence Day!

In celebration of the 123rd Philippine Independence Day, the Filipino Creatives Bahrain will launch an art exhibit at the Harbour Gate from July 10 to 23, 2021.

The art exhibit is entitled “Iba’t-ibang Kulay at Hugis ng Kalayaan” which translates to “Freedom in Myriad Colors and Forms”. A total of 150 artworks will be on display alongside literary works by Bahrain-based Filipino writers. Kids’ artworks will be seen in this exhibit, too.

According to Catherine Paje, one of the founding members of the group, the exhibit is meant to express the love and gratitude they have for their motherland. The group has turned to creating pieces of art as a source of hope and strength, as the pandemic continuously changes each aspect of everyone’s lives.

The exhibit is meant to bring Filipinos around Bahrain and the world, closer together during this difficult time, Paje added.
