Roasted Chicken with Oriental Rice

Serve this tender and flavorful chicken with hot cooked rice to wow your guests!


  • Chicken – 1000gm
  • Basmati rice – 500gm
  • Minced beef – 300gm
  • Almond nuts – 50gm
  • Pistachio nuts – 50gm
  • Onion –  250gm
  • Cinnamon powder – 50gm
  • Salt
  • Demi-glace sauce


  1. Roast the chicken with the celery, onion, carrot and potatoes in a 200 °C preheated oven for 45-50 minutes or until chicken is cooked and golden brown in color.
  2. Meanwhile, heat oil in a large pot. Add the minced beef together with the onions and spices until the meat is brown in color.
  3. Inside the pot, add the rice and stir for 2 minutes or until the rice is hot. Then, add water and let it simmer over low heat for about 25-30 minutes.
  4. Serve the roasted chicken along with the rice and sauce.
