The Ritz-Carlton, Bahrain Takes Guests on A Culinary Journey To Bali

The Ritz-Carlton, Bahrain invites guests on a culinary journey to Bali with the launch of a new pop-up restaurant named Nikmati. The exciting gastronomic addition brings the restaurant offerings to 13, making it the most sensational multi-national cuisine hub in the Kingdom of Bahrain, serving delicacies from all over the world.

Nikmati, meaning ‘enjoy’, is run by Bali-born Chef I Made Suriana, who has been in the culinary industry for over 20 years. The menu takes inspiration from Bali’s rich culinary heritage and features signature dishes such as Sate Ayam; chicken breast skewer marinated with coconut sugar, chilli and kaffir lime leaf, and Ayam Taliwang; a typical Lombok grilled chicken dish enriched with homemade Sambal sauce. The Chef’s special, Aroma Pantai Jimbaran, is a seafood medley designed for two, featuring Jimbaran-style grilled lobster, crab, scallop, shrimp and mussel. For an after-dinner tipple, creative cocktails include Segara with pineapple and coconut cream while Tedung combines zingy pineapple, orange, apple and lemon juice.

Located next to the marina with the sparkling Arabian Gulf as a backdrop, Nikmati’s design celebrates Balinese and Indonesian culture. The entrance is embellished with traditional Penjor Bali structures, consisting of tall bamboo decorated with banana and coconut leaves, while Balinese masks are dotted throughout this al-fresco dining spot. Each table’s centerpiece is inspired by the Canang Sari – a colourful floral handmade basket that represents a daily offer to gods.

Nikmati pop-up will run from March 12th – April 24th 2020.

Set within 20 acres of lush gardens and golden sandy beaches on the Gulf of Arabia, the 245-room five-star city resort is one of the most elegant destinations in Bahrain. A place where guests can immerse themselves in the local culture, enjoy extraordinary cuisine and explore the dazzling capital city of Manama.
