The Ritz-Carlton, Bahrain Becomes The First Kosher Friendly Establishment

After the historic recent signing of the Abraham Accord, normalizing relations with Israel, The Ritz-Carlton, Bahrain took the initiative to welcome Europe’s acclaimed Kosher catering specialist, Arieh Wagner, and from Tel Aviv, Orthodox Union representative Rabbi Yissachar Krakowski for an open dialogue aimed at preparing the 5-star property to provide certified Kosher cuisine. With the guidance provided by these leading industry specialists, The Ritz-Carlton, Bahrain is proud to announce that from November 20th 2020, it will become the first Kosher friendly hotel in the Kingdom; ready to welcome Orthodox Jewish guests from around the world and to provide them with a certified Kosher dining experience.  The two visits were arranged in anticipation of the expected influx of Jewish tourists and business people after the normalization deal.

Arieh Wagner is the founder of Starguest Ltd., which is the leading Kosher catering and events company in United Kingdom and all over Europe while Rabbi Yissachar Krakowski is the Rabbinic Coordinator, and Director of Kashrut with OU Kosher, founded nearly a century ago in the United States as the certification arm of the Orthodox Union (OU), and the largest Kosher certification agency in the world.

On the occasion, General Manager, Bernard de Villèle commented, “After playing host to the recent United States, Israeli, and Bahraini delegations visit to Bahrain on October 18th, we were delighted to host the leaders of the Jewish community for a dialogue to ensure a complete understanding of the strict Kosher rules allowing us to confidently be the first Kosher friendly hotel in Bahrain. This will no doubt be welcomed by Orthodox Jewish travelers from around the world who are eager to visit our beautiful Kingdom.”
