The Food Trucks area in Bahrain attracts food lovers in truckloads!

Attracting 160,000 gourmets, that too in about a month, amid the coronavirus pandemic, is no mean feat.

In a way, the newly opened Food Trucks area has become the Pied Piper of Bahrain where the magical flavours oozing out of the umpteen delicacies dragging in good food lovers in truck loads.

Latest data says the area dubbed “District” is a smash hit among connoisseurs of good food in the Kingdom.

There are about 50 mobile food outlets in the area offering a variety of dishes ranging from local to international cuisines catering to a wide range of customers.

Opened on 22nd October 2020 by Industry, Commerce and Tourism Minister, Zayed bin Rashid Alzayani, the trucks are in the vicinity of Bahrain National Stadium, East Riffa.

The achievement amid the coronavirus (COVID-19) also brings into perspective the stringent precautionary measures followed to make the area healthy, clean and safe for visitors. Launched to support promising Bahraini projects and to empower food truck owners, the ‘District’ has played a vital role in contributing towards creating an ideal environment for the emerging food-truck industry in the Kingdom.
