Bahrain records 2,375 coronavirus cases from 17,285 tests

Out of 17,285 COVID-19 tests carried out on 31 May 2021, 2375 new cases have been detected among 1076 expatriate workers, 1295 new cases are contacts of active cases, and 4 travel related.

There were 2,579 recoveries from COVID-19, increasing total recoveries to 211,024.

27 deaths were recorded, taking the death toll to 980. No information was provided on the ages of those who died or whether they suffered any pre-existing medical conditions.

There are currently 330 cases in a critical condition, and 403 cases receiving treatment. 28,197 are stable out of a total of 28,527 active cases.
