I moved to Bahrain in November 1990, which means I have lived in Bahrain for over 27 years now. Reflecting on this and seeing my children grow-up here in Bahrain emphasises how quickly the years have flown by!
Before moving to Bahrain, I was working as a hotel operations manager in India. In the late 80s and early 90s, Bahrain’s hotel industry presented some exciting work opportunities. This was why I decided to move here. Bahrain turned out to be a very nice place to live and here I am 27 years later!
Including my experience in India and hotels, I have been working in property management of one type or another for over 30 years – actually this makes me feel very old!
For residential buildings in Bahrain, tenants generally want a nice place to live and to feel like they are receiving value for money. With this in mind, I think the key things to offer are an appropriately priced product in order to attract tenants and next, to maintain occupancy levels, to ensure pro-active management with a constant tenant focus. Here at The Flagship, we have worked very hard to ensure our pricing is appropriate and that we offer excellent management services for the benefit of our tenants. All the time, I want to do everything I can to ensure our tenants are happy and enjoy living here. In my view, this starts with a polite greeting and a warm smile from all members of staff.
First of all, The Flagship offers an outstanding luxury product that is fairly priced with an excellent and dedicated on-site management team of 8 (I would say that of course!). Also, the building really is perfectly situated right next to the five-star ART Rotana Hotel and within walking distance of the various restaurants, cafes and supermarkets etc. at The Lagoon in Amwaj – the location really could not be better. Tenants also benefit from outstanding sea views and being close to the airport. Our beautiful reception area, facilities (gym, kids’ play and temperature controlled pool) and, in particular, internet speed are what our tenants compliment the most.
