Chef Salam Daqqaq particularly stands out from the rest when it comes to award-winning, closer-to-home food. The founding chef of Bait Maryam opened her new restaurant – Sufret Maryam on 1st August.

Offering an elevated take on Levantine cuisine, the restaurant aims to continue the legacy of Bait Maryam, which garnered acclaim and prestigious awards such as the Michelin Guide Bib Gourmet (2022, 2023, 2024). Chef-Owner Salam Daqqaq, who was named Best Female Chef by the World’s 50 Best as the Middle East & North Africa’s (MENA), leads the culinary team, ensuring a dining experience that transcends beyond borders and cultures.
