Stay safe: Bahrain records highest daily COVID-19 death toll

Out of 15198 COVID-19 tests carried out on 1 June 2021, 2259 new cases have been detected in Bahrain. Of the new cases, 983 were expatriate workers, 1274 were contacts of active cases, and 2 were travel related.

There were 29 deaths recorded, raising the toll to 1,009. Yesterday’s deaths pushed behind the highest fatality record of 28, announced on 24 May. No information was provided on the ages of those who died or if they suffered any preexisting health conditions.

There were 2804 recoveries, increasing total to 213827.

There are currently 326 cases in a critical condition, and 427 cases receiving treatment. 27628 are stable out of a total of 27954 active cases
