Saudi Arabia is gearing up to host the biggest-ever music festival the Kingdom’s ever seen next month, something which would have been unimaginable just a year ago. The festival is part of the upcoming Saudi Ad Diriyah E-Prix, and will see some of the world’s biggest musical acts taking to the stage of Ad Diriyah’s UNESCO Heritage site between December 13 and 15.
Artists who will be performing live at the Middle Eastern debut of the E-Prix include Jason Derulo and Enrique Iglesias, who will perform some of their biggest hits for day one of the three-day event. Other headliners include the Black Eyed Peas and Amr Diab, who will take to the stage the next day, while David Guetta and One Republic will round out the musical acts for the hottest ticket in town on December 15.
In the past few months, several concerts have been held in Saudi Arabia thanks to the loosening of restrictions on leisure activities by the Kingdom’s Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman. But due to the near-impossible feat of obtaining a travel visa (Saudi Arabia doesn’t issue travel visas) to the Gulf country, non-residents missed out on the chance to see the likes of Tamer Hosny and Nelly perform live. However, to ensure that as many people as possible attend the upcoming Ad Diriyah E-Prix, Saudi Arabia will be launching 30-day tourist visas for the very first time, which are available via online application when you purchase your ticket.
