Summer in Bahrain tends to send people either indoors or overseas. At The Ritz-Carlton Spa, Bahrain, the Summer Wellness collection leans on the expertise of ESPA and Valmont, running from nourishing full-body rituals to an intensive hydration facial aimed squarely at skin that has spent too long in the sun.
The Spa Boutique has quietly become a destination in its own right. The current selection takes in ESPA’s Active Nutrients range, Valmont’s Collezione Privata and Palazzo Nobile fragrance collections, swimwear from Lemlem and the understated Parisian leather goods of Rue de Verneuil. Bonvoy members receive 10% off Ritz-Carlton branded merchandise, which makes the walk back from a treatment a slightly more expensive one than planned.
For the hours when stepping outside is not a serious proposition, The Ritz Gourmet Lounge has added a run of handcrafted cold brew drinks, while La Terrace is serving artisanal gelato by the pool.
The most sociable addition is La Med Fanzone. Following a strong run through the 2026 World Cup, the venue has kept its calendar going indoors with the UEFA Super Cup, Saudi Pro League, La Liga, Premier League and the Formula 1 Heineken Dutch Grand Prix, all shown over Mediterranean plates and classic bar bites. It is one of the few summer plans in Bahrain that genuinely works for a group.
The resort is also positioning the season for celebrations, with beachfront ceremonies and ballroom receptions for couples who would rather not wait for cooler months to marry.
What holds it together is the setting. Few properties in Bahrain can offer the Gulf on one side and a full resort’s worth of venues on the other, and the summer programme is built to let guests move between them without ever needing to leave.
