IMPORTANT: While several restaurants are operating and dine-in options remain available, Bahrain’s official authorities have advised stepping out only when it is necessary and confirmed safe to do so. Follow official channels for real-time updates. Keep yourself and your loved ones safe at all times.

We’re navigating a complex and volatile time in Bahrain, and yet, life on the island continues to move. That is a testament to the resilience of this community and the trust people place in the Kingdom’s security forces.

Most places across Bahrain remain open. Supermarkets, malls, automotive showrooms and businesses are operating. We’re also seeing restaurants open their doors, whether for regular dine-in service or for home deliveries and takeaways only.

Food is at the heart of everything in Bahrain. So here’s a practical round-up of where to eat if you’re looking for a change of flavour. Delivery and takeaway options are listed first, because getting food brought to your door is the safest and simplest option right now, thanks to the brave delivery heroes.

Getting Food Delivered

Food delivery apps like talabat and Keeta are both operating. Drivers and riders are on the road throughout the day, and you can use the apps to check whether your favourite restaurants are currently active and accepting orders.

A reminder: delivery riders are putting themselves at risk with every order they fulfil. If you’re getting something delivered, thank them. Keep in mind that driver safety comes first. Deliveries will continue where and when it is safe to do so. Check the apps for latest updates and status of operations.

Restaurants Available on Delivery Apps

Sato is available on Keeta and talabat for delivery between 12:00 pm and 10:00 pm. If you’re craving Japanese-inspired flavours without leaving the house, this is a solid option.

China Garden at Al Liwan in Hamala is open from sunset until 12:00 am (Saturdays – Wednesdays) and from sunset until 1:00 am (Thursday & Friday) for ordering via Keeta and talabat.

Stay Safe

This guide is meant to help, not to encourage non-essential trips. While the safest option right now is to order in, if you do need to step out, plan and pay attention to official updates. If you’re outside, keep in mind the safety precautions in case there’s a threat or debris.

Operating hours and availability may change at short notice depending on the security situation. Always check directly with the venue or delivery app before placing an order or making a trip.

We’ll keep updating this guide as the situation develops. Stay safe, Bahrain.
