Recoveries outpace new COVID-19 cases in Bahrain

Out of 14,191 COVID-19 tests carried out on 22 February 2021, 721 new cases have been detected among 258 expatriate workers, 452 new cases are contacts of active cases, and 11 are travel-related. There were 820 recoveries, increasing total recoveries to 110,827.

There were 6 deaths reported yesterday. Four Bahraini men, aged 59, 54, 50 and 44, a 29-year-old Bahraini woman and a 59-year-old expatriate man died yesterday, taking the total deaths to 429.

There are currently 69 COVID-19 cases in a critical condition, and 152 cases receiving treatment. 7,205 are stable out of a total of 7,274 active cases.
