Porsche Centre Bahrain opened its Manama showroom to a group of local photographers and content creators, marking World Photography Day with a Coffee & Cars morning built around the Porsche 911. The curated group of photographers and content creators spent a morning shooting its sports car lineup, with the 911 as the main subject.
Guests were given free rein to explore the cars however they liked, whether that meant close-ups of design details, wide shots of the silhouette, or more atmospheric attempts to capture what makes a Porsche feel the way it does. There was no set brief. The idea was to let each photographer bring their own eye to a car that has been photographed, by now, more times than most people could count.
The 911 because it remains Porsche’s most recognisable model and the clearest expression of the brand’s design language.
Its shape has barely changed in essence since it launched, which makes it a useful test for any photographer: the challenge isn’t finding an interesting car; it’s finding a new way to look at a familiar one. That was the point of the morning, with the showroom set up to let guests move around the vehicles and shoot from angles they wouldn’t normally get access to during a standard visit.
For content creators who cover cars regularly, that kind of access matters more than it might seem. Showroom lighting, uncluttered backdrops and the chance to shoot without a queue of customers behind you all make a difference to the final images, and Porsche Centre Bahrain used the morning to offer exactly that.

Alongside the shooting, the gathering worked as a networking morning for Bahrain’s content and automotive communities, with coffee served throughout.
Photographers and creators used the time to talk shop, swap contacts, and compare notes on projects, which is arguably as useful to a working photographer as the shoot itself. Bahrain’s content creator scene has grown quickly over the past few years, and events like this give people working in overlapping fields – cars, lifestyle, product – a reason to be in the same room.
That kind of informal networking tends to matter more than it gets credit for. A lot of collaborations between local brands and creators start exactly this way, over coffee rather than through a formal pitch, and a car showroom turns out to be as good a venue for that as any café or co-working space.

Timothy Price, General Manager at Porsche Centre Bahrain, said the event was designed around what photography brings out in the cars.
“Photography has a unique way of capturing what makes a Porsche special, not just the design of the car, but the emotion, character and details behind it,” Price said. “Coffee & Cars was an opportunity to bring together talented photographers and content creators, give them the freedom to experience the 911 through their own lenses, and celebrate the creative community here in Bahrain.”

Coffee & Cars fits a pattern Porsche Centre Bahrain has followed for a while now: using its showroom for events that go beyond selling cars. The dealership has previously hosted a Macan Gems Collection reveal built around local jewellery and fashion partnerships, an electric drive weekend pairing the Macan and Taycan, and a golf cup for its owner community, alongside sponsorship of local causes such as the Bahrain Education Awards. Coffee & Cars adds a creative, photography-led event to that list, aimed squarely at the people who shoot and share Porsche content rather than just those who buy the cars.
