Paws, Claws, and Valentine’s Vibes: A Mega Pet Festival Heads To Bahrain!

Bahraincover

Calling all pet parents and animal lovers! If your camera roll is 90 per cent photos of your dog sleeping or your cat judging you from across the room, we’ve found your plans for next weekend. The UAE’s legendary Show is making its way to Bahrain for an ultimate “Pet’s Day Out“!

Mark your calendars for Friday, 13 February and Saturday, 14 February. The festival is taking over Prince Khalifa Bin Salman Park in Hidd from 3:00 pm until 10:00 pm. Since it falls right on Valentine’s weekend, what better way to celebrate than with your true soulmate, the one with four legs and a tail?

What’s Happening at the Park?

This isn’t just a quick walk in the park; it’s a full-blown festival organised by South Management with Showline (UAE). They’ve taken everything you love about the animal world and packed it into two days of outdoor fun.

The main events will be the competitions. We’re talking about the Bahrain Kennel Club (FCI) National Dog Show for those stunning purebreds, plus an “All Breeds Open” show that’s more about fun. If your pup has a hidden talent, the Dog Sports and Agility Competitions are where they can really shine. For cat lovers, don’t worry, the Bahrain Cat Beauty Competition will crown the most photogenic kitties in the Kingdom.

More Than Just a Show

Even if your paw friend isn’t the competitive type, there is plenty to do. You can catch demonstrations from expert dog trainers who might have the secret to stopping your dog from jumping on the sofa. There’s also an educational pet farm and a dedicated kids’ play zone, making it a perfect family afternoon.

One of our favourite parts of the festival is the focus on animal welfare. You’ll find several adoption and welfare groups on-site. It’s a great chance to learn about the incredible work they do, or even find a new best friend to take home. Between the fashion shows and the fancy dress competitions, the “aww” factor will be off the charts.

Treats for Humans and Pets

While your pets socialise, you can browse through a wide variety of stalls. Whether you’re looking for the latest pet tech, organic treats, or a stylish new harness, vendors have you covered. There’s also a handicraft sale if you want something unique.

No festival is complete without good food; there will be plenty of food trucks and licensed stalls to keep you fueled while you explore. You’ll also find veterinary experts and animal professionals on hand to answer those “is this normal?” questions we all have as paw parents.

Don’t Wait at the Gate

Nobody likes waiting in line, especially not your furry buddies. You can pre-register for fast-track entry now by visiting their website or social media pages.

This Festival is all about celebrating the life we share with our pets while raising awareness about their health and happiness. It’s simple, it’s fun, and it’s going to be the cutest event of the year. Grab the leash, pack some treats, and we’ll see you in Hidd with!
