Over 1.1 million COVID-19 vaccine doses administered in Bahrain

Out of 16,357 COVID-19 tests carried out on 20 April 2021, 1,039 new cases have been detected in Bahrain. Of these, 448 are expatriate workers, 554 new cases are contacts of active cases, and 37 are travel related.

There are currently 95 cases in a critical condition, and 144 cases receiving treatment. 10,746 are stable out of a total of 10,841 active cases.

Five women – a Bahraini (65) and four expats (aged 62, 55, 62 and 40) died yesterday, taking the total number of deaths to 605. No information was provided if they suffered any preexisting medical conditions

There were 1,040 recoveries, increasing total to 15,4711.

A total of 627,047 individuals have received the first dose of vaccine while 491,472 completed the second dose. This brings the total vaccine doses administered to 1,118,519.
