My Café has opened its doors at Marassi Al Bahrain, marking the next chapter for one of Bahrain’s most loved dining destinations. Founded by Bahraini entrepreneur Sawsan Baluch and rooted in the spirit of Block 338, Adliya, My Café Marassi brings a familiar favourite to a new setting with the same food and the same warmth that has kept people coming back for years.
For the guests who have grown up with My Café, the address has changed. Everything that matters is still the same. Sawsan first opened the restaurant because she wanted a place she herself would want to eat in every day. My Café in Adliya became that place, built around good food, warm service, and a feeling that guests were always at home.
The opening at Marassi represents a natural step forward for the brand. The bigger, more considered space is one part of the story; Sawsan’s involvement in every element of the food, the experience, and the spirit of the place is the other part, which remains exactly as it has always been.
“My Café has always been about the people who walk through the door,” said Sawsan Baluch, Founder of My Café. “I am very proud of the new location at Marassi, but what matters most to me is that when our guests sit down, whether they have been coming for years or it is their first time, they feel looked after. That has never changed, and it will not change.“

The menu at My Café Marassi was developed through a collaboration between Sawsan and the culinary team, shaped by her own cooking, her travels, and a shared belief that the best dishes are almost always rooted in something personal. The long-standing favourites that guests have always loved continue to remain on the menu. Alongside them are new dishes created specifically for this chapter, including a curated selection from the Josper grill, prepared with precision and respect for the ingredient.

The kitchen’s approach is as it’s always been: Breads are baked in-house, broths, sauces, and the finishing elements that bring each plate together are made with the same attention to detail that has always set My Café apart.
The drinks programme is led by Bar Manager, Nicolas Kiourtzidis; The cocktail menu is built on house-made cordials and infusions, exploring unexpected flavour combinations with a steady, confident hand. Guests can also enjoy specialty coffees, premium teas, mocktails, and signature beverages throughout the day. My Café Marassi also introduces the Martini Trolley, a tableside cocktail service that adds a refined and memorable ritual to the dining experience.

The restaurant is designed to accommodate more than 100 guests across indoor and seasonal outdoor seating, with an open kitchen at the heart of the space. The contemporary interiors strike the balance that My Café is best known for: refined enough to mark a special occasion, relaxed enough to feel like somewhere you genuinely want to spend time.
The space works equally well for a weekday business lunch, a long family dinner, a celebration, or simply a very good coffee on an ordinary afternoon. That ability to hold many different moments and make each one feel right is something guests have always valued about My Café, and it was built into Marassi from the start.
