Learn more about “Al Naqda” art in this workshop at Al Jasra!

Bahrain’s Authority of Culture and Antiquities is holding a creative interactive workshop on “Al naqda” art and techniques from 22nd to the 26th of August (4:00PM-7:00PM).

Al naqda art is a part of the old Bahraini traditional heritage. In those days, women’s attires were hand embroidered with real silver thread using a special needle known as “al naqda”. Nowadays, women use this technique on modern products, such as accessories, tissue boxes, handkerchief, gift bags, etc.

The workshop is a 15-hour duration course and is open to participants 18 years old and above. The workshop will be held only in Arabic. Registration is limited to those who have been vaccinated.

Registration fee: BD30
