The Sar based football academy are now owned by International Sports Group
Juventus Academy Bahrain, an elite level football academy providing training to children aged 3-18, have announced that they will be operating under new ownership in the form of International Sports Group Limited (ISG). The move adds Juventus Academy Bahrain to an already expansive portfolio for ISG, which also includes ownership of the Juventus Academies in Saudi Arabia.
Both parties are very happy with the agreement, Academy Director, John Mackenzie, said “We’re very excited about the move and the prospect of working with them [International Sports Group]. They were excellent throughout all negotiations and shared our visions for where we would like to take the academy over the coming years. They have the added bonus of being able to combine ideas and resources with their other Juventus Academies.”
Juventus Academy Bahrain is an official academy of Juventus Football Club and is currently in its second year of operating. The academy boasts 5 full time coaches with internationally recognised qualifications as well as training each year, attending the annual Juventus coaches conference in Turin. The academy is also subject to 3 inspection visits per year from Juventus to ensure that the academy is running at the highest possible level and in line with the Juventus methodology.
Each child at the academy attends a minimum of two sessions per week with the option of both play and advanced classes, each age group also has the opportunity to participate in a minimum of two international tournaments over the course of a season where they will play against other official Juventus academies, including a trip to Turin to play in the Juventus World Cup.
Now with International Sports Group as their new owners the Academy is hoping to build upon the work it has already done, over the course of the last year Juventus Academy Bahrain have introduced a number of ideas to create a more immersive footballing experience, including partnerships with a physio and strength and conditioning coach, the use of GPS tracking and video for player analysis as well as a classroom for interactive educational work.
