Interview: Marie Berengere Chapoton, GM of Al Areen Palace & Spa

Tell us something personal, what motivated you to work for luxury hotels?

I am a great believer that in luxury hospitality, it is essential to be guest-centric. Through this, we can create different memories for our guests every day. This industry is all about the culture of details; being innovative, pushing boundaries, integrating local culture and having our own opportunity to build emotional connections with our guests.

Since my childhood, I have had the opportunity to travel to amazing landmark hotels around the world and was inspired by the capacity of the hospitality world to create unique and emotional experiences.

What do you see as the most significant strengths of this property?

I am yet to discover in detail this wonderful property, but I would say that the key strengths are the unique setting and location, the personalized and refined service, and the opportunity to provide high touch experiences to our guests.

What’s new at Al Areen Palace & Spa? What should we look forward to?

It’s still an early stage to respond, but I am confident there will be numerous exciting projects to come. Stay tuned!

Teamwork makes dreamwork. Lead by example. Listen to your team and learn. Be open to others and to your environment. Dare, Care, Share.

What’s your favourite thing about Bahrain?

In my short exposure to the country, I have been fascinated by the unique hospitality which is an integral and pivotal part of the local culture.
