Tell us a bit about yourself. What inspired you to explore the industry of art, specifically posters?
I’ve always been interested in interior designing. I enjoy creating a space of comfort. I believe that the environment with which we surround ourselves is very often a direct expression of our state of mind.
I came across this business idea when I was renovating my office. The office seemed so dull and I needed to bring it to life. I searched the country for the perfect canvas design but I came back empty handed. That’s when I thought “If you can’t find it, create it!”
The process wasn’t as easy as I thought. I had to look for an artist to design a canvas of my all time favorite “The Godfather”. I was not just looking for a frame to fill the empty space on the wall, but rather I wanted something customized. I wanted a high quality canvas with specific measurements and a unique design. When I could not find a provider, I decided to do it myself. Ever since, this canvas has been quite the inspiration.
That’s when I decided to turn my passion into business. I started small, designing canvas for offices and bedrooms. It was only a matter of few months when Posters Bahrain expanded beyond my expectations; it was not limited to Bahrain anymore. I started getting offers from coffee shops, lounges and even large companies. Three years later, one canvas of The Godfather turned into thousands of canvases, each uniquely customized poster had a story tell.
Would you say that this is your passion?
Passion is one of the most effective motivators when it comes to launching a business. A business can only thrive on passion; this is why Posters Bahrain has been a success. However, passion cannot be the only ingredient. On the other note, I am stepping my foot in the hospitality business in 2020. There will be a new business concept soon going to be established on the island.
Art is often seen as a luxury, how are you making art accessible to everyone?
In general, art can be quite costly, ranging from BD100 to more than BD3,000. Posters Bahrain provides affordable pieces. What distinguishes us from other businesses is our flexibility. We can tailor the product according to your taste and budget.

What advice would you give to all the aspiring art entrepreneurs out there?
Authenticity! If you can’t find it, make it yourself. Find something you’re passionate about. People are not looking for just a product or service, what they really want is an honest and an unforgettable experience. So stay true to yourself and know your customers on more personal levels. It doesn’t necessarily have to be new idea but find a way to make it your own.
What’s your favourite place in Bahrain and why?
Well, I live in Seef district and I am enjoying that area. It’s close to everything and it’s a center point of outstanding entertainment. The last few years, Seef district noticed a very huge development in the hospitality business.
