Here’s what you need to look forward to at The Art Hotel & Resort!

In case you haven’t heard yet, The Art Hotel & Resort is the hottest spot to be in Amwaj! Just in time for the New Year, the hotel is establishing itself as a premier destination for family fun on the Island.

Recently, we interviewed the hotel’s new Recreation and Entertainment Manager, Christian Jesty…

How are you finding Bahrain?

So far, excellent. In my short time here, I have been acclimatizing back into a hotel and resort operation at our amazing property. I worked in Bahrain before from 2009 to 2012 and it certainly has changed a lot (for the better)! Everybody is so welcoming and accommodating in all walks of life.

What do you see as the most significant strengths of The Art Hotel and Resort?

From a beach club and recreation viewpoint, we offer the best of amenities and services for our guests and members from what you will get from a normal hotel. Remember that the purpose of a vacation is to have fun and not just accommodation and food. Our guests and members enjoy access to a wide range of amenities such as an adult only pool and bars, a private beach, wellness services, kids club, sports activities, watersports, animation and entertainment.

Our resort ensures that our guests and members have as much fun as possible. You will have not to worry about overcrowding when having fun in the sand and water. We have excellent provision for childcare services and facilities. This will give the parents some time to relax and chill.

What’s new at the hotel? What should we look forward to in terms of recreation and entertainment?

I will be introducing a wide ranging calendar of events, tournaments, competitions and social activities that will be available for all our valued guests and members whether it be singles, couples or families. There will also be a wide range of new activities in the resort such as snorkeling, a brand new swimming programme and technologically advanced fitness training and classes.

In terms of excitement and inspiration, what is it that gives you the passion for the role?

I am passionate about customer service, maximizing the guest and member experience and imparting health and fitness knowledge to our guests, members and colleagues. I am driven by a workplace that empowers colleagues to have the creativity and foresight to develop new initiatives and programs to create an amazing leisure and recreation experience.

Do you have any key predictions for changes you expect in the hotel industry?

In terms of health and fitness, there are ever changing technological advances and new gadgets to improve the guest experience. New exercise classes, wellness principles and spa menus need to be constantly redeveloped and adopted wherever possible to keep you ahead of the competition.

Is there a particular saying or motto that guides you?

“Walk the talk” – To do what one said one could do, or would do, not just making empty promises. To do things consistent with what one claims. Failing to match behavior with talk results in loss of credibility and trust.
