Bahrain Film Festival returns for the fifth time.

Happening from 30 October to 4 November at Marassi Galleria – Reel Cinema, the festival’s theme is Short Films, Great Stories.
The 2025 edition received an impressive 686 submissions from 25 countries. From these, a selection team will choose the final films to be screened at the festival. Audiences can expect a mix of short fiction, documentaries, animations, and Bahraini films, all carefully curated.
But the festival is not just about watching films. There will also be workshops, lectures, and development programmes to support upcoming filmmakers. These sessions are an excellent opportunity for students and young creatives to acquire new skills and gain a deeper understanding of the global industry.
This year’s panel brings together experience from film, television, culture, and education:
Dr. Mohamed Al Sayed – Head of the committee, Associate Professor, and a media expert with experience in international film festival juries.
Abdulaziz Al Sayegh – A filmmaker and media producer with a wide background in film and TV.
Mostafa Metwally – A filmmaker and content creator known for his works showcased on MBC Shahid.
Yasser Al-Neyadi – An Emirati artist and cultural programmer, with experience in acting, writing, and filmmaking, working with the Department of Culture and Arts, Abu Dhabi.
